did it break right at the end of the clutch bolt holes most inner bore?

when I munched a clutch shim between the head and piston the rod pin broke right at the bottom rod bearing.......unbelievable. good thing it chewed up my new 1010 piston, cause they are almost free

there is a 900 engine for sale in the swap.. I bought my new crank in may and it cost me $800 fully built though..
