Just reported on Fox News. "65% of the U.S. is covered in snow." hope this keeps up, going hiking in the Grand Canyon in May, it would be nice to take the sled.

Maybe your flat azzed 65% of the country, but here in CO this is the worst season that anyone I know has ever seen. Where I ride, it looks like october conditions most years.

In the Keweenaw Peninsula of Michigan we have had a pretty bad snow drought. I am glad we still have snow to ride on, but we are below average: For reference Houghton county is the county just to the south of Keweenaw.

Area Snowfall:

(2/10/10)

Houghton County has 28 inches of snow on the ground and has received 178.5 inches to date.

Keweenaw County has 25 inches of snow on the ground and has received 141.5 inches to date.

Snowfall history:

During the winter of 2008-2009, Houghton County received 260 inches of snow and had as much as 30" on the ground. Keweenaw County received 282.5 inches of snow and had as much as 37" on the ground.

So little snow

I never expected to hear how thin it is in so many places. It is like all our mountain snow is landing in the midwest and the east coast. They can send it back anytime. Sorry to hear that snow isnt too good yet. Hope it starts soon for all....

No snow here where I ride this year either. But it's El Nino, happens now and then.

I heard on the ray dee eye oh this morning that 49 of the states have snow. Only Hawaii is out of the game.

???

I know that Hawaii regularly has snow on top of some peak(s), and since they don't really have "seasons", I would ***_u_me that it is a contant covering?

So what's the deal with no snow in Hawaii today of all days?
