I bought a holdover 2013 1100T Sno Pro
it is green and pretty much pretty cool. My thoughts are to ride it pretty much stock for this season (If we ever get any snow) and see what mods I want to do over the summer. I do have a set of simmons skis I could put on it by changing mounts but I am asking you guys if Powderhounds, powder pros or the wider simmons would be a better choice? I am thinking the heavy front end may benefit from the wider skis.
The updates have all been done so I guess I need to ask if there are any MUST DO items to make this beast more reliable and enjoyable.

Congrates.
The skis are an absolutely a must. I bought a hold over 2012 in march of 2013 and rode it stock twice. I hated the way it handled so bad I was ready to sell it. I went out and bought a pair of simmons gen 3, a vertical steering post and moved the rear suspension to the 2013 position and it was an entirely new sled.
Depending what sled you are coming off of, this sled will take some time getting used to.
I think one of the updates was different rear suspension rail caps but I would install an anti stab kit for cheap insurance. Those 2.6 tracks aren't cheap.
Other than that just ride the crap out of it. I love my 1100T when its not at the dealer getting stuff fixed under warranty:face-icon-small-dis

I'm trying to get rid of a '13 RMK so I can buy a holdover '13 1100T. I really wanna make a project out of it! They seem like wild machines to ride with the right parts stuck on 'em. Would like to hear what sled you're coming off of and how you like your new one once you get to ride it.

i had a 12 pro rmk
then bought a 13 1100t
i love the 1100t
but i do hope they get the cluthing issues fixed
i did some evo stuff to mine and lightweight parts, belt drive is the next thing, its a blast to ride

on a 2'+ pow day i have never had so much fun..

it just has great power....

Thanks guys I am coming off a 2007 M8 162 I had piped and cutler secondary. That has been a great sled!
I still have it as a backup sled.
I considered a Polaris but they seem twitchy to me and not hearing a lot of long term reports on the 800 engine.
I am anxious to give the new sled a try. I kind of want to keep it quiet and powerful. I am looking forward to getting used to the new platform.

skis are a must i bought a 2012 and rode it maybe 3 times before i decided $400 on a set of slydog powderhounds is worth every penny in my opinion. My buddy has a set of gen 3s that he likes also

I'm a little gun shy of the Simmons......

I've had some issues in the past with them catching or snagging on loading ramps and RR clamps. The carbides are blunt edge on the front and depend on a little nub of plastic to lift them over those edges. They kept bending A-arms on my King Cat and one time through me over the bars. They are nice on a trail though, as they don't follow other single wear bar tracks.

my buddies simmons catch sometimes when we load it.

I have simmons on 3 of my sleds now. They do catch a lot. I will try the powderhounds.
Thanks guys

It took me most of a full season to figure out....

Why my new A-arms seem to be melting. They were slowly bending backwards. The skis!

I agree that the Slydog Powderhounds rock. Anyone find that the rubber grommet under the a-arm fits loosely and moves around? Slydog is sending new ones but curious if anyone else is having an issue?

mine seem to fit alright but i didnt really pay attention we put them on the sled while we were in the parking lot getting ready to take off for a 2 day ride.
