After years of wishing and dreaming I finally bought a 1200 watercraft based triple. Found it here on the forums. This thing is an absolute MONSTER. Had it out saturday and ended up on a small lake with good sized hills on three sides, I made a few climbs then gave it to a friends kid, gotta be honest, he's a better rider than I am, and he made that thing shine. He rides a 2011 1000 AC and where he was working to go over the top on his sled this thing would lift the skis and start to accellerate. When he gave it back he just kinda walked away shaking his head and muttering to himself. The clutch engages at 3000 rpm and is as easy to drive as a 340 indy, until you grab the throttle and then you had best be hanging on and paying attention. If anyone out there has been sitting on the fence about one of these engines, DO IT, you will never regret the decision.
 
Right on!! Now I will force you into the back end of sinclair!!!!!

Congrats!! you have started to ride in a whole new way. Similar to a turbo in the hill speed department, things happen fast. But so sweet having all that torque in an instant. All that power RIGHT NOW.
 
Beauford I'm going to need a little time to get used to this thing before we get into a p!ss!ng contest. I bought the sled with the engine in it, it's a holz custom, I still can't believe I got it before someone else snapped it up. 4Z I've been reading your comments for a long time about these things but truly you have to ride one to believe it. I've been picking up parts for awhile to build an 800 twin but one ride on this beast and 800's have become irrelevent. This really is a whole different level.


Edit: The thing even runs on pump gas, no more searching for av. Ha Ha

No pissin contest,(drinkin contest might break out?) The turbo might be down for a few days so I'll take the stock 800. I love those watercraft sleds too cant wait to see it!! I hear its been cold so sinclair should still be awasome!!
 
Just had 2 awsome days on mine these things do rip very torquey have fun on yours. we are still getting good amounts of snow 17 feet here.

Yeah those who say "theres no turbo lag" havent ridden a watercraft based tripple.

This coming from a guy who has a impulse apex in the trailer right next to his prox 1200wc!

each sled has its day! Best NA motor on the snow IMO!
 
My friend has one. Good chute climber. He has climbed all the chutes at Turtle mountain with it. Afterwards looked and the motor was twisting in the mounts.
 
When Lee (my friends kid) was riding it he came around the group of us that were sitting on the lake and as he came past us, doing about 10 mph, he just nailed the throttle, that thing stood right up on the rear axel, absolutely no exageration, and didn't drop the skis till he backed off at the end of the lake. It literally was on the edge of just flipping over backwards. THAT my friends is throttle response.
 
Damn, after one ride on that I might have to spend the wifes horsetrailer fund on one.....Wonder if it would fly if I told her it was for her.....unplug one plug wire hmmmm??????
Sounds like everything i don't like about the turbo 4stroke, two stroke response!!
