I have been riding cats for the last few years i am on a m-8 162 now.I am thinking about a 2014 155 have any of you guys come off of the old m sleds and on to the pro if so how are you liking it .Also i would like to here from anyone that went from a 162 cat to a 155 pro

I have ridden a couple of M sleds and think the feel is very similar to the pro, the pro being more tippy. Having said that I have never owned a M-8 but I would not go to a 155" from a 162". I ride a 2012 155" now, I like it a lot but if I was to buy a 2013 - 2015 I would get the 163", same snappy/fun as the 155" and I can't feel any disadvantage with the longer track. But I would ride all brands first and see what works best for you if you haven't already.

PRO RMK 800

You will like the pro. I had a M7 and M8 and PCM8. All of them were 153s and my pro is a 155. It really comes down to your weight, snow conditions, and style of whether you will be happy with the 155. It is super capable in stock form. Definitely will feel like a good transition from the M chassis to the pro.

I came off an M8 153 to a Pro 163. Love the 163. I found you need to step about a foot length forward and I run my handlebars a little more forward than the M8 but it'll switch directions like a jackrabbit once you get the feel for it. The biggest thing other than the weight that I've noticed is how it pops up on the snow and in situations where I'd have had to turn out with my M the pro just keeps clawing its way up the hill. You'll love it. I'd go 163 though IMO

Coming from years on the m8 and jumping to the pro I have absolutely loved the pros! This will be my first year on a 163"

I rode a m8 162 highly modded for 4 seasons, switched to a pro 155. The poo will do anything better than my M hands down. Have never regretted once going 155. The poo jumps right up on the snow where the M's like to trench a lot more. Kept my M just in case but after one ride on the pro I knew I never wanted to ride it again.

I go about 200-210 with gear i have been riding for 15 years i would consider myself a above average rider i like the 162 but not sure it is needed with the new pro

Don't worry for one second if the 155 will be adequate, it will. I ride with several 163's, the only thing the 163 will do better is starting from a dead stop at the toe of a slope in bottomless powder (two days per season), it will continue to creep at 2MPH where the 155 will trench and force a turnout. Hit the same hill at speed with the 155 and you'll never know the difference, you may actually see the 155 outperform the 163. I wouldn't have purchased a 163 over the 155 even if the price was identical. By the way my 2014 runs the pants off my 2012:face-icon-small-coo.

A 163 pro also sidehills in fluffy steep stuff better than a 155. You can also tractor in the trees slower than a 155. When banging on tree filled hills that need a few turns to get up, a 163 will afford that last few feet to get over the top where a 155 may not. I had 4 155 Pros before trying the 163 and it has as many pluses as minuses compered to a 155. The 163 is not as sporty on shallow hill boondocking and hangs way off the back of a sled deck. YMMV

Location of a Pro 163

Check the Bend OR craigslist. Looks like as of November 5 there was still a couple left at the dealer in Lexington.

Yes the 163 is required. If you ride deep snow, that is. So easy to handle you will think you are on a 155 anyway.

lol required is a little strong :der:...205#'s pre gear of twisted steel and sex appeal on a 155 I went everywhere with a buddy on a 163 w/long rod, yes in very deep snow

In minneapolis?

No seriously the 163 will side hill a much steeper line before washing out.
The 155 wheelies more if you are into that. :)

Either one will handle light years better than the bathtub m8

The 163 will shine on the deep days and eliminate the wishfull thinking when the 155 is stuck.

Not often does anybody wish they had a shorter anything.

came off a pretty light modded '10 m8 153 (453 lbs RTR minus fuel) to a '14 pro rmk 155, and i will say my cat way more punch and power. that being said, the pro is way more controllable, gets on the snow way better and is way more nimble. i have since put 36" front end on mine and its just that much better.
