:D Just had a back surgery and have an assortment of narcotics to play with :beer;:)
So far everything feels much better, will have to take it a little easy this winter (yes...already making excuses :cool:), but should be good to ride by the time the snow flies.
I will be pretty much bed ridden for 2 weeks so I will be a posting fool, probably alsot of misspellings .....and I can blame it on the drugs! :beer;:beer;
But if anyone needs anything with clutching, feel free to PM or call, I can still get you setup!

how long for full recovery on your back?

I got surgery tomorrow on my collar bone, and not suppose to be a 100% till dec. But we will c if that stops me from ridding.
Good luck on the recovery man.
Brad

A couple months to fully heal I believe.....but I don't have bone to heal, had part of disc removed and some bone removed.

ohh, i get a plate and screws. Then in 6ish months i will prolly have to get them removed, cause a pack pack will aggravate it. So then it will be another 4 weeks to let the screw holes heal. so im kinda bummed on this whole situation.

First Doc wanted to do a fusion....glad I got the 2nd opinion, fusion is 1 year to heal and lower success rate. Sledding is a huge priority for me so that was not an option (YET). Good luck!

Well crappy deal

Hope both of you get to feeling better fast, the snow is a coming:beer;

Hope it(the surgery and the pills) does the job Paul.

Since you'll be riding easy this year, can you wear a backpack full of beer to the bottom of a hill waiting for us to come down and not cause more injury? Ask the doc so you don't ruin your warranty....:D:beer;:D

Rob, I put a HUGE rack and bag on my sled that can carry more than I can put on my back! I like the way you think! :beer;:beer;

Had the same thing done 3 years ago, best thing I ever did, get some of those refreezable gel packs and keep your back iced down to reduce swelling and do everything else they tell you to do, you'll be fine.

Good to hear you are doing good after surgery

Hey Paul, when we were talking on saturday about skidoo support locally....... is that on the DL for now, or should I blast it all over the forum?

Hope you get a speedy healer on your backside:beer;:beer;:beer;
