Hyperfax break in?

I just put a new pair of hyperfax on my TRX 162. The break in says first 50mi. heat cycle 10 times. Rode for 3-4 mile stints and everytime I stopped the slides were cold. Snow was hard pack with 2" broken layer.
Is this normal? And without heat how would the slides be seasoned. Total ride was about 25mi.
I also have clips on the track if that makes any diff?
Thanks for any comments.

Hyperfax

I have ran these since they came out. Have never been able to do exactly wwhat they say. Still have had great luck with these. I always tried to stop and let cool if on hard pack the first couple of times. If none available I just rode it.

Thanks for the info. I was not sure if that was the norm. or not. Thought I might have been running the track to loose but checked it ok.
I guess the saying if it ain't broke don't fix it applys here.

I have a Vector MTN 162. The last three years I have tried different things I have read. I see no difference in wear if I heat cycle them or if I put them on and ride. If snow conditions are minimal they will wear in a long track no matter what you do.

Keep them cool at all possible times and if snow conditions are minimal stop every once in awhile and kick snow in to cool them. Pain in the *** but will decrease wear.
