I just got hyfax for me and my brother.. we have vertical edge rmks 144. the hyfax the guy gave me is a little shorter than stock and skinnier.. is this bad?

depends on how much shorter, ive had them have a quarter inch of rail show before. I think its fine as long as your track has some clearance around the rails. Generally though I thought there was just a long stock length they gave you and you cut to fit.
Shorter by how much? 1/4 or half an inch okay.
How ,much skinnier?
What brand of HYFAX did you purchase? Did you pay about $15 for each one?
got em at HAY DAYS.. up front we cut em pry an eighth inch short. the stock ones were cut at an angle at the back but i kept them straight up and down i hope thats ok. ya about 15 bucks a piece. pry half inch skinnier than stock ones.
Alegedly white lasts longer.
The point is they are there to keep the track from rubbing metal to metal.
Go ahead ... if they fit use them
The rear angle is no issue.
Make sure you tighten the track evenly and get the tension correct
