hyfax change

i have a nytro mtx with an apex skid and track. i managed to burn out my hyfax even with scratchers. i guess getting to the snow with minimal at the bottom has a price. i went through the normal procedure of loosening the rear wheels and track but the old hyfax do not come out through the track windows. i don't know if the other manufacterers do? i unbolted the suspension and pulled it out to the position where i could remove the hyfax. with great patience and almost no swearing(yeah right)and the help of a hammer and screwdriver i removed the bastards. the new ones went in nice but reinstalling the suspension was not nice as it seemed like nothing wanted to line up and the rear section to the drop brackets was really nice.i finally was able to compress the rear suspension and make it work. being that this was my first experience doing this, does this seem normal or am i making this more difficult than it should be?

All you do is drop the rear spring tails out and the rear scissor just flop's around, i shove a short 2x4 on edge in there and it doesn't collapse, much easier to install
But then again I would have just taken an exacto to the track windows

The track windows are smaller than the hyfax. We just replaced them on my buddies RX1. We didn't cut the windows which makes it sort of a pita, I always use a slide hammer to pull the hyfax off.

If you can lift up the rear of your sled, and adjust the height as needed (sled lift or a tiedown strap) the skid on the mtx Apex and Nytro is so easy to pull out it aint funny. I can do it by myself in approx 2 min. Wd40 sprayed along the edge of the hyfax/rail can make it easier to get the old one off as well
