Just picked up a '16 Husky FC450. Going to run it as a snow bike exclusively. What are the must haves?. Already has the rekluse, so what else do I need to make it right? Any help would be appreciated.

I have a new 16 SXF450, pretty much the same bike. Also setting it up as a snow bike only.

*I installed a Rekluse clutch.

*Hour meter if it does not have one for maintenance intervals. I am using Trail Techs Voyager for a few extra functions including GPS

*Thermobob - easy install, helps keep engine temp up. It has a port for a temp gauge (also recommended)

*Fastway Hand guards

Fastway footpegs - Although the stock ones are good

Handlebar risers depending on riding preference.

*AME Heated grips - Might need to upgrade stator if I use those a lot.

LED lights - Again might need to upgrade stator

*P3 carbon heat shield fits well and saves burning your high dollar gear.

*P3 carbon skid plate - more of a belly pan idea

Air pre filter if using the stock airbox setup

*Fork springs and revalve

Engine shielding - keep some heat in. Not sure if I like what is available right now.

The ones with stars* I have done. The others I might wait on. A lot of other things you can do, this is just my build as of now.

The thermobob and stiffer fork springs I would do first!

Share what you do and how it works.

The bike will work stock!
And wow is it fun in the dirt. Love that 450! :face-icon-small-coo

Thank you for the info. That really helps. I'll post up what I get done

I have an fc450 as well. Can't really think at anything more than Excaliber posted. They maybe aren't all "must haves", but make it a really killer snow bike

Def kicking the idea to sell my pro and build a fc450 snowbike. Hate to sell the sled but im thinkin tech tree riding with this bike is going to be a riot! How well has the fc450s been holding after a season of riding?
