Hey shredder, went riding on Sunday, everything groomed from Lakeshore through the Rancheria and up Kaiser, and up to White Bark. Some pretty good riding up around White Bark, and i heard they got another 6-8 inches Mon. Anyway not sure about the grooming at Tamarack, but a lot of fun riding up off of Kaiser.

There is only one restaurant open in Huntington lake. One sled shop with a gas station and nothing else except trails and private cabins that may be for rent.

There is an official Sno-park with bathroom.

More choices at Shaver Lake and a forum favorite https://westcoastsleds.com

Shaver has churches, many general stores, hardware stores, several gas stations ... etc.

Shaver Lake and Huntington Lake get most of their income from recreation ... 90% plus. The rest of the income is from water. The water flows from Edison to Huntington to Shaver lake generating power and used for drinking , agriculture. This water system generates the more energy than any other water system in California.

Where can i get some info about riding in that area? Ive never been up there and would like to try it out.

Places to stay and ride from?

Other places Tamarack between Shaver and Hunmtington seems to have nice riding.

You can stay at Tamarack Lodge and ride from your room / parking lot.

At Huntington, the Lakeshore Inn has cabins for rent, and u can ride directly from your front door . It also has a restaurant, bar, and store. There is also a lot of condos for rent, and at least one custom 4 bd.home with garage, that you can ride directly from.Give Dave and Mark a call at the Rancheria (559 893-3234) they have the sled shop and sled rentals, they also have a well supplied store. They are avid sledders and all around great guys. I am sure they will be happy to point you in the right direction.
