Wendell and I (mostly Wendell) went and put on a fishing clinic at Field's Riffle Saturday. It was packed and the people watching was very amusing. My sides still hurt from laughing! Wendell is definitely a humanitarian; giving away fish and teaching people of all walks of life to fish.

I thought I was cool getting one or two "Fish On's" per cast until a guy caught one with a Mister Twister Exude Grub twin tail in neon green on a 1.5oz jighead! (that he found on the beach at low tide!) Heading out on the drift boat today for some up-river Humpin' (humpy hauling)!

Where are you launching the boat at??? If its at Douglas Bar, I know it VERY well!!

Haha..... That's funny! I knew if I through out that place out and you knew where that was you really where from around here. What's even better is Doug Bar has been owned by my family since 60's. I fished there every spare moment as a kid when my dad didn't have me tied to farm work.

testing to see if i'm a local yokal??

been fishing the snoho for about 8 years.. My son won $250 at the Humpy derby they just held at doug bar couple weeks ago.. then he won a raffle and 1 of the prizes to pick was a key.. i made him pick the key!! haha..
here's a quick edit from that day..

Buddy of mine had seen your kid grab the key for his raffle prize and said "Now there's a kid grabbing a cool gift for his father cause dad told him to" Didn't think my mother would ever put one of those up!!! She never got a chance to PROFILE you... LOL
 
yeah, i talked to the owners before the raffle asking about getting a key and they said they had no more.. when my son won the raffle, she ran in and grabbed my arm and pointed to the key cuz she knew i wanted one.. I quickly told my son to go grab that.. haha.. we launched there the next day and got in to a bunch of fish.. be there this weekend i think too.. :face-icon-small-ton

Love pink season for getting folks in to their first fish.. you can take a newbie and guarantee they catch fish.. unlike even years... heck i get skunked half the time on even years..

I'm taking 2 of my sled/shred buddies out saturday.. should be fun!
 
slow this morning

4 for 5 for me this morning, but not much luck for anyone else. nice chrome hens at field riffle. brining now getting smoked tomorrow. Felt bad for the jiggers as my wee knight was working well.
 
I pulled up on a hole on the Duwamish on friday.. I started throwing a #1 50/50 and started hammer out fish just about every cast.. soon I was surrounded by other boats moving in on me thinking my hole was the hot hole, they started throwing jigs with little success and i continued to slay.. it was glorious!!! :face-icon-small-ton

the Snoho was tough yesterday, even on humpies, we got a limit but nothing like the past couple weeks.. we had to work for it yesterday.. haha.. i was mostly in search of coho, but casting dick nites all day.. in the back channels by doug bar..
 
love the pictures/videos.
I love spring and fall fishing, going north tomorrow to Idaho and Montana for some trout fly fishing. Fish wont be as big as the ones posted.
Colder weather, no people, camping and fish to be caught:face-icon-small-hap
