That's the biggest humpie I've ever seen. J/K looks like that guy has been around the block a few times.

Nice fish, must have been fun to land............

Rodger got to fight all the big ones this time, we always rotate if rods are in the rod holders, but I wouldnt have had it any other way.

What a blast watching his face when he first seen it...PRICELESS

Whatch out we'll have a new "Fishing" thread...

Can't compete with the dragon fish!!!

But we did land 3 species (lost the only Steelhead we had a try at) this weekend, and had two of the fun & funniest fish fights ever on a $24.95 pole with cheep 8lb line!

holy moly christian!! thats beast!! bet that was fun.. i don't think i would set foot close to eating it or smoking it even but damn what fun that was i am sure! friggin awesome!

We call those upriver brights!! Nice fish!!

Nice to see you tuned up the netting skills on the winky pinky's for the reel thing!! Now you need to practice landing and netting with the other hand or graduate to landing albycore and gaff with the other hand.

:D:D:D

Looks like it's time for you to take an albacore trip on my buddy's charter boat for some reel shoulder/arm soreness, mayhem and serious body abuse.

I'm normally too busy catching fish to take pics, so I usually just tell peep's we didn't do well today. It makes people feel better about themsleves.

up river bright or even some fall kings will suprise you when you cut them open...the strangest thing is the jacks, one will be bright orange and the next one will be pale like a humpy... All the adults wore bright orange meat, but the big dino was starting to get fairly pale.:rolleyes:

I will pratice my gaffing in Mexico SOON. But if you can teach me to land, gaff and drink cold Coronas at the same time...you may call me Daniel son.

I did get skunked this year(ask Blindman), hope that makes you fell better about yourself;) OKAY no more pics per DD request....I now no longer catch fish...:confused: From now on I will be fishing and not catching:cool:

One thing I have learned over the years, fish as much as me and you will have bad days. The problem there is that it makes me just want to fish that much more:confused:

My post was probably a little too sarcastic.
Don't get me wrong about the pics, I just never seem to get time to take them. My job is to keep people catching. That and I just don't like to hurt feelings, I'm a nice guy. I don't like to tell people I'm catching cause they seem to cork my bite after that. I like to fish alone, boatwise that is. I've found if I brag, I pay. Superstitous, huh?

Fishing is the anticipation of the bite and the actual hooking of the fish. After that, it's all work. At my point in my fishing career, I get off more at handing fish off to the less fortunate, unless it's a steelie.

We all get skunked that's why it's called fishing and not catching however, I've found that if a persons attitude goes from getting upset and bent out of shape when this occurs to mine... getting skunked is if I don't fish and catching is then the bonus to going fishing, meaning even if I don't catch it's stiil a successful day, then you'll double your catch and the actual "skunked" event will hardly ever take place anymore. Teaching yourself how to catch steelies for a year and a half and getting skunked will aid in this attitude also. Either that or I'm just plane stupid.

I'm one of those very superstitous fisherman.

Keep the pics coming.

This is because there are red/pink flesh kings AND white flesh kings and you'll never know what they are until you cut into them. As far as the difference in color for red/pink kings, some will tell you that this can be dependent on what they are/were feeding on in the ocean. I caught a 10 lb king earlier this year that had meat redder than a sockeye. He went straight to the barby.

The "Tap-Tap, Tug-TUG-TUUG, ZEEEE"!!!

mmmm steely, burp!:beer;
The known & expected; but still a surprise… SMACK! It is to live for!

You'd gladly stand 9 hours on a snowy bank, sit during a thundering sleet squall in a frozen drift boat, hike miles up a closed road just to climb down a cliffy bank, kneel on boulders digging through a tacklebox, stare endlessly for small creases in the current, and cast until your shoulder burns....

It's like; the perfect balance on a side hill, the “swoosh” mid-boondock up a powdery creek draw, the point where you just realize you are going to make a WOT treed climb, the apex of a rocky turnout where you see your buddies jaw drop:D...

Not that I do anything that cool; but…we post to share these experiences with friends to encourage or enhance their next experience. I know Christian is also, if not more so, posting to say, “hey check this out, this is something cool to experience, you too can (or come and) do this”. You can tell when you fish with someone who is more happy when the other guy or gal (especially kid) catches the first, biggest, most, or ugliest fish.

I work in the fisheries restoration world and have been parading some of these photos around saying “this is what were working for”; it’s like a morale booster!

Yea you run the chance of crowding your hole or mountain, but you’ll probably be dedicated and continue to refine your craft or timing. Also everyone can use some more Ridin’ & Fishin’ buddies.:beer;:beer;

Good Luck!
