HPS can on a 13' PRO

Ok ...so I just got my new 13' PRO 800. Haven't rode in years and not familiar with any of the new mods. So I am going to put a HPS can on and that's it. Sounds like from my dealer that, that is about all I can get away with when it comes to the warranty. So is there any other things I need to do when I install the new can? Plus I heard a blip on here about not putting the can on until after break in. Any truth in this?

A Can of any brand will at best drop a few pounds and keep the horsepower even. A lot of people we'll run stock silencer for break in so it doesn't look brand new for a warranty claim.
