hp for nytro

I am wondering how to get a little more hp from a nytro without a turbo or supercharger. thinking about a muffler for starters, Any help would be great.

mbpr makes a performance exhuast and you can get a control box to ajust your fuels and you can do air box mods all sorts of things change the stock muffler put a hindle pipe on stuffed with turbo stuffing so its not screaming loud lots of small things you can do clutching is good. change the track think you can get a chip for them to

HP

What kind of gains are these mods going to get? What's the cost? I'm thinking that the Nytro needs some significant hp gains to offset the weight. I was not happy with the MTX stock. Not even a sniff against an XP146. Boost is expensive as hell but cost per hp is cheapest thing out there, I know it's not for everyone though.

If you go on TY this whole topic has been beaten to death. I dropped 70 ish lbs off my Nytro, swapped out the POS stock track for a CE 2.5 added a Tsled skid, put on an Excell header and single pipe and did some clutching. Last season stock my Nytro had a hard time getting out of its own way. This year with the mods its a whole new sled. Will it take an XP, I don't think so but its for sure in the game. With the exhaust and a plug change you can get in the 146-150 hp range and thats realistically about it. If an XP is 151 HP there close but even with the Nytro lightened up the XP is still going to be 50 lbs less that the Nytro. Your best bet for taking an XP is to put a 120 lb rider on the Nytro and a 220 lb rider on the XP. All that said I still wouldn't trade my modded Nytro for an Xp but thats just me.

M5 love your sled. Nice work.:beer;
Was thinking I would run one without boost as well.....Reid @ Boondocker figures a 50 shot would be just the ticket for those times a guy really needs the extra. Easy to clutch for as well with a shockwave.......hmmmm :D

Thanks. I was thinking the same thing about the Nos. I had a Boss system on my Rx for as season but I would like to try something different. Which system is the hot ticket.LOL

What plugs are you talking about? Do you by any chance have a part number? I would like to try some. TIA

agree with M5, dropped about 70 lbs off mine, different track, excell full exhaust, totally different sled, very competative wth anything out there. also running boondocker nos kit, approx 40-50hp shot, wrks awesome for when i need a few extra ponies. sometimes u just have to customize to your riding style and likes in a sled
