Hows VP lookin?

I have ridden VP exactly once pretty much all on trail breaking in a motor. I want to head there on Sunday with a very inexperienced friend. We will have all 3 sleds in the sig and I would like to find at least 1-2 decent off trail places to play, maybe some moderat climbs and or jumps. Anyone have a map of that area or an idea other than VP to hit up within a reasonable distance. If I werent taking a newbie I would hit RE or somewhere further but I dont want to drive 4 hrs to have someone that cant do much holding us back.

Actually, RE would be a better place, you can make it as simple or as hard as you want it. If you want it simple enough for him, go to the South side and take him on the same trail that the tour guides use for their clients. There are quite a few places to dive off and get your fix while he figures things out.

was just at VP.. rode in from Red Cliff. super beater and not good. we stayed the night at copper, snowed all night but only an inch or two in the morning. everything was pretty much tracked except the tree lines..need new snow, good base

would be fine for a groomer ride, bring your scratchers

Snowin there right now.

Does get pounded down pretty quick, but if you know where to go you can hit some good spots and find decent pow most of the day.
