Yes, we need snow and quite a bit more too. Went out today to the north of McCall and there was quite a bit of fresh snow there, to our surprise. Maybe on the order of 10 inches. BUT the forecast does not look good for the next week or so. Definately worth riding now. Spud.

If you go back far and high the snow is still good. We where going about 90 miles a day, at least 30 miles in.
Go to Clary Dome and head east down the ridge to Bear trap saddle, or go to War Eagle lockout and head east. A little farther is pony meadows out of warren, don't spot at pony meadows keep going as high and far as you can it gets better as you go.
Try to stay above 8,000 ft
Bring gas or buy at Warren.
If you need more info let me know.

rode council mountain
went out to council two days ago and there was about 6" of soft stuff on top you could go anywhere. it was nice to ride were no one else had been in a while. very fun to go poke around in new drainages.

We were there all last week. Had a good ride on Thursday the 29 out by Hazard Lakes.

Need new snow badly! If you go concentrate on the west side (Brundage RES side) otherside of the hill from Warren Wagon Road) as the east side is getting crazy thin. There is still great riding but not typical McCall like. The enormous killer riding area is getting trimmed down with our lack of snow. ONE GOOD DUMP IS ALL WE NEED! Two would be even better! Trails are excellent and traffic use is about 1/3rd daily normal. Got to FW at 11:30 am Saturday and was the tenth setup from the parking lot on the road. Last year you would have been two miles from the trailhead at this time. Still the best riding within 400 miles. (sad statement)
