How's Crowfoot?

was up there Monday and was surprised at snow levels,at the cabin it was 3 ft and when we got near the look out there must be at least 5 ft,pretty sweet!

We are sorry for the families loss. Crowfoot is such a great place for families and happiness, that it's almost unbelievable that such a tragedy could take place. Our thoughts and prayers go to the family.

On another note about saftey, last year my family and I were riding up to the chalet when we had a most disconcerning incident. I stopped at the bottom of the fireguard to let my son on his Phazer go ahead and follow up behind with my wife bringing up the rear. while going up we encountered another group pulled off to the side. We waved, they waved and we continued on. Up a couple of hundred yards my son suddenly reacted tucking down and leaning to the right. As he did this a young man in his twenties, at a high rate of speed jumped over my son and his machine coming down the guard! Missing hitting my son by mere inches! If my son hadn't tucked down, the aforementioned individual would have taken his head off! The rush seeker was performing jumps off of the cross trails while traveling down hill, he wasn't even wearing a helmet. My wife wouldn't let me go and talk to the individual, stateing that no good would come of that. My son was obviously very shaken and distraught by the incident, so we continued on to the chalet to calm down. While we were up there the group also arrived at the chalet, knowing I was extremely P----- at them, a spokesmen for the group appologized. This was appreciated however the wanton recklessness of the group could have been fatal. My point being if you are prone to pulling brainless and uncontrolled stunts in public area's, find another hobby that dosen't effect others! Where were the spotters? Any how I hope that this year as we will be there shortly goes without this kind of trouble. Happy sledding.

no point confronting somebody that is launching his sled across a gap without a helmet. Perhaps not the smartest person out there, if you know what I mean.

Anybody have any updates for crowfoot? How much snow in the last 24 hours? Is it all tracked up? Is it worthwhile driving from the coast? Thanks.

check the weather network, its amazing. im headed out the 29th for a week!! woo

Went up Lietchion (not sure how spell it) yesterday. That's the range behind Crowfoot. We rode in 3 ft. of untracked fresh all day. 4 to five ft. of base in the bowls. It was snowing like crazy when we left.

heading up tomorrow to our cabin... gunna try crowfoot for a day and then go to hunters range in sicamous for a day.... i hope theres a good base...and if lucky a buncha pow too... if anyone could tell me what the conditions are like(if i should be careful for stumps) i would appreciate it..

thanks

you shouldnt have to worry at all for stumps anymore past the chalet. my buddy called me late lastnight and said theirs 4 feet of fresh, and their is more comin!!! ill be their on monday, and its suppose to be warm all week wooo

loading up today(it is early in the morning) at about 8 and pulling out asap... hope its good!! pm me if ur interested in coming!!!

Went up Dec 29th. Close to 5' at the cabin. Chest high powder, no bottom. Lots of stucks. Found some debris pits in the Burn which once you fall in, makes for tough to get out. Lots of fun though. Need the snow to set up a little more for my liking. Seems like the secret is out. Sunday the 28th, they had 84 trucks and 200 sleds up there. The most ever. Lots of snow falling today.
