planning on riding blewett saturday, what are the conditions like up there?

Just got in the door.......Trail looks like plenty of snow going up, BUT as we came back the groomer had been thru and a few "brown" spots showing. Getting thin, but still fine.
About 4 1/2 feet of snow on the roof of the cabin at Haney Meadow.......Got to a few play areas as high as 6,200 ft east of there, rocks showing thru in places even at that elevation.......
OK for this weekend, but the end is near.......Have fun...

went up saturday and it was ok, the only powder at all was way up high in the shade, even when the sun came out the snow was still frozen.
I did see some tracks going up this hill though that were completely insane, just looking at it made me want to crap my pants. somebody made it up this hill that was steep as hell and about halway up it grass was showing in this one area and it was nearly vertical. they must have went up it several days ago, there was no way they could've made it up it saturday, needed to have crampons to walk up it. wish i would've taken a picture.

It was a great day just a bit short as we had to head home a bit early. the snow started get decent around 1-2 as one would expect. My arms are covered in small cuts from being blasted by Aktrubo's 800 XP ice pellet roost as I was looking ofr passing options...
as we "sorta" raced home the last 4 miles.
The mighty 600 can't quite hang with the 800...

The last mile or 2 showed about 3 gravel spots that you could drive around on the way back. Last weekend was the last grooming run so I was told. The road should be OK for next week but after that... who knows...

i was up there a week ago and i called it quits for the year, we had to drive up from the clear lake snowpark just to find some snow on the trail, the snow was also pretty hard except for in the shady places up on top
Rode there back in the end of February. I had a really good time but the snow was hero so that probably made it a lot better. Lots of open boondocking for sure, but not a lot of tech climbing.

went up thursday and it was a good ride. There was even fresh stuff down at the snopark, it got deeper as we got higher in elevation, and there was no gravel showing on the trail up. the snow was deep enough to get in some carving and donuts. on the way down there was gravel showing in lots of places, and the snopark turned from fresh stuff to slush. It was a great ride though, definetely worth it.
Did we talk on Thursday? I was there with a group of 8, towing down the 700 Poo at the end of the day. That was my 5th time there in 8 days.....The end is near....

yeah, i didn't think it was me. it was a great day, and i got a chance to practice some carving for the first time.... see you on the trail.
