howell canyon

Keep us posted on this one;)... looking to try Howell this year. How are the current conditions?

Anything under 4Ft especially without a base is just asking to completly wreck a sled at Howell.

You can be carefull. But that area has cost me about 1K worth of parts alone with low snow. Lots of rock up there.

Powder crew, i'd wait for better snow. you'll be cussing yourself if you come up here right now.

How's Lamoille?

Low like everywhere else I guess, but were finally able to ride. The good snow pack is over 9,000ft though. If your familiar with the canyon you really have to get up to the lake... too many rocks down lower. The base is good enough that you wont (probably;)) kill your sled on a rock, but you will run your ski/bellypan/track over some if your not careful. As long as you dont straddle any "humps in the snow"... the day should be safe. I say that with about 85%-90% confidence. Check out the ELKO thread in Nevada/California... we try to keep it updated with pics and info when we ride... I also post alot of pics in "POWDERCREWS PLAYGROUND".
