Howe riding??

I was wondering if any one has rode north of Howe before. this summer camping i noticed signs with snowmobile routes on them but i'm not sure if there is any where to park off the road. the signs were up bird canyon and cederville canyon about ten miles north of howe. lookes like great terain if there was a spot to park.

Howe (Little Lost) and the Pahsimeroi would be some of the best areas in Idaho if they got the snow. Being on the leeward side of the biggest mountains in Idaho does not help. I know several locals that spend some time out in this area, but you have to be very careful. Most either wait for the big snow years or limit themselves to spring riding.

Pretty much the same - unless the snow is epic it's damage time. I hit a rock last year and bent a driver. I was lucky that the axle didn't go. It was a cheap repair. The snow was pretty good last year too. Sawmill was decent last year. Some years you can start at Tabletop and ride to Pass Ck on the top - it's awesome, but you should have someone who's been the route b4.
