howa rifles

has anyone on here had any luck with howa rifles or heard any good or bad about them? i have one picked out to order just need to give my dealer the go ahead whenever i want it he said and he'll have it in 2 days. anyways its a Howa Thumbhole Varminter Supreme with a heavy blued barrell (sp?) and nutmeg colored thumbhole stock, in a .223 caliber. so any input would be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance!

my uncle has a howa in 22-250. he bought it brand new and restocked it with a mcmillan stock. with handloads its a 1/2 inch 5 shot group at 100 yards. i like it alot for the price especially.

For about the same price, look into a Rem. VTR or SPS varm., a local sports store have SPS varmiters in .204/.223/17 Rem Fireball for $509, then you know you are on the bulletproof 700 action and my VTR is sub 1" with the cheapest ammo and sub 1/2" with match(.223).

Not my favorite but pretty good for the money. I'd opt for the Remington over it though just for the better trigger.
