How to test 05 KK EFI fuel pump

Tried starting my King a few weeks ago to get it out of the enclosed trailer and into the garage. Great spark, but no fuel. Tank is half full, both fuel pickups are covered in fuel. It ran great when loaded in the trailer in Feb(last ride of the year:face-icon-small-sho)

How can I test to see if the fuel pump is working? Can I hook a power source to the fuel pump wires without burning out the pump and check the pressure with a guage at the rack?

Any ideas???

Thanks

Unplug the fuel pump. Using a 12 volt source for power, like an ATV battery, touch the leads to the fuel pump leads. If the pump groans, then reverse the leads, it will pump in reverse and spit the blockage out. If it does this, then put the leads back in the normal (red to red and black to black) positions. Now take a good flash light and shine it down into the gas tank. If you see sparkles, you pump is toast or will be very soon. These are brass particles from the internals of the pump. If there are no sparkles, you just had some varnish or blockage in the pump and you should be fine. Even if you blow brass back into the tank the pump can work fine for a while, but it is not worth being 50 miles from room and board to keep pushing it.
