So if you accidently give her a little too much go-go juice loading onto your split deck trailer and the bumper comes down on top of the front loading ramp, your going to have yourself a little problem... Admittedly not as big of a problem as running the stock bumper, in that case you would be buying a new hood and every other piece of plastic on your front end, but you still have a small problem, one bent bumper
Requirements:
1 - sled with bent skinz bumper
1 - firm surface to work on
1 - concrete block
1 - ratcheting strap
1 - 4 lb hammer (for fine tuning)
2 - jack-stands (3 ton capacity works nicely)
3 - scrap 2x6 lumber about 2 feet long
1 - some added persuasion (You'll see)
The patient...
Rigged up and ready for reconstructive surgery...
"DOCTOR, The patient is ready and waiting"
<Doctor enters>
"Ok, Let's begin"
Ever so gently the 19,000 lb doctor goes to work
"Just a little more"
There... now just a little fine tuning with the 4 lb hammer and she'll be good as new.
And that's how you straighten a Skinz bumper....
*** No sleds were harmed in this presentation, but one was fixed good as new***
