How to split primary 09 XP

I want to pull the pins out of my 09 but I cant get the primary split apart.
Anyone had this issue?
Are they different from th 06?

Screw the puller into the primary. Then hit the puller with a big hammer. It will come apart. Hit it hard.

just leave the clutch puller in the clutch sticking out 1/2 inch hold clutch firmly hit the head of the clutchpuller on the concrete floor. comes right apart , tighten clutch bolt to install sheves.

Just assemble it normally and torque to spec. The TRA-VII uses a tapered internal shaft instead of a splined shaft. Makes it tough to get apart. Goes together just fine.

Any idea why they would change it? The spline seems to work fine.
I didn't take any weight out I just cleaned the are pins for the arms they were gummed up pretty bad. Still had to runn clicker 3 at 2200' but did seem alot more responsive and it was quite warm out. To bad I will not get to really try it out in the mountains on any pulls. I want to come back alive. Hopefully there is some deep stuff to play in.

u do not need to seperate the clutch to pull the pins out. next time set it on the bench and slowly lift the to cluthch sheeve up until u get to the top and reech in and pull the clutch arm up. this way u do not have to mess with pulling out the buttons

I bought the little keepers to do that for me. They sure do come in handy.
