How to Remove Steering Post?

Busted the steering post on my wifes 07 D7 RMK today.
Was out for a nice trial ride & didnt even hit anything. Turned through some tight treed area & skis went one way handlebars the other.

Broke right under the top bushing. Now how do I remove the steering post? Is it just airbox & carbs or will motor have to be pulled?

Any help or directions, pics would be great.

It can be done without pulling the motor. Pull the tank along with the airbox and throttle bodies.

As far as the bottom bolts on the post, it was very difficult to access the them with a wrench (limited space even with the smallest tool) so I loosened the right side motor mounts and lifted the motor just enough to reach in and wrench on them. Air box needs to be pulled but didn't have to pull the tank or throttle body. Just make sure once you lift the motor oh so slightly that you have somebody there to help steady the motor when you leverage it or somehow shim it just in case something go's wrong. In my case it was my wife, simple job.

This was on a 2009 Assault.

this has been covered , do a search and you will find it , I welded a modified wrench to some rod stock to reach it with only the air box out, replace it with a wildchild (canadasledparts) post and you will be good to go

Thanks guys,
I did try the search under "steering post" & found nothing on how to remove.
But thanks for the help. I'll be pulling the post & have a nice D7 for sale soon.

Wife hates riding this thing!

Thanks for the help.
I went out to the sled. Pulled airbox & throttle bodies. Seen the nut right there. 1/2" crow foot & extension to hold the bottom head & hit the nut with impact. It was off in less than 10 min. Most work was getting the clamps off the throttle bodies.
