How to remove "security key" from the center console 2007 Rev

I'm replacing my center console, and it looks like I need some sort of special socket to remove the security key? Does anybody know another way?

Pliers will work.

i ended up using vice grips on the back of it, i was just nervous about damaging it and having my sled not start..

Get a SOG powerlock multi tool. Works like pliers but costs a bit more!!
