How to or where to ride Baker

I have been wanting to make it to Baker but buddies bail at the last min. Where is a good sno park to start from and what direction should I ride? Some directions for both would be great if possible. Not looking for crazy hills just nice bowls with some pow. Heard there are a lot of drifts and crevs up there which I would like to avoid if possible LOL. Shoot me a message or PM if you are heading this weekend and wouldn't mind a tag along or 2

Go to Schribers Meadows turn left before the bathroom loop. Then head up hill till you get to awesomeness....

Use some discretion............

I would recomend going with someone who has been there before. Not saying anything about your ability at all. But, there are a couple of do's and don'ts up there. Weather comes in and out very fast. Know where the waterfall is! I hope you enjoy an awesome place to ride. I am sure some local north end snowesters can show you around. -00's

Uhhhh....hu hu, hu....he said.......snowpark. Thats funny, yeah funny (Beavis impression here).

No snowparks this year....drive up the road till you can't go anymore. Should be just shy of the crater. On a serious note, like others have said, either pick a sunny clear day or get someone to ride with. Lots of holes this year and a lot of canyons with no bottom to them. When the clouds come in, if you don't know your way you are lost. B safe and have fun.

:D LOL, you really are a retard. OH! I...I mean reTODD...........sorry..........

I was just looking at pics from a different thread that coyote girl put up. I think it's titled "died and gone to heaven WA" She went to baker on the 1/16 I believe is the date. Should check out the awesome pics of the POWDER and of course the occasional crater OOOPPPPS guess he didn't see that coming. Find the thread and check it.

deadsled- If you head up there try to ride with someone who knows the area, like a few folks have said. That mountain has been known to bite a few folk in the azz around here.

With that said tear it up!:D

Get ahold of Mike Couch. He is the Prez of the Northwest Glacier Cruisers (the local club). He should be able to put you in contact with local riders to give you a tour. The Glacier Crousers have a web site that you can get contact info from (Ruffryder has a link in his signature line).

Its a great place to ride--have fun!
