how to - m-series 2 wheel kit

well i needed my suspension done soon and a BDX axle was 40 bucks (canada) so i made my own 2 wheel axle.

1. step one remove axle from the sled.
2. cut one side of axle so total length is just under OD of rails 9 1/8 i believe.
3. drill out hole to 11/32 the shaft is hallow so it goes in pretty straight, but i did drill the size below 11/32 first.
4. tap hole with 3/8 16 NC tap = 3/8 diameter, 16 threads per inch, national corse. DO NOT MISTAKE for national pipe thread NPT
5. flip the track ajusters to the inside and reasemble using without the 2 outer wheels or black spacers
6. a larger washer will be needed for the outside

-11/32 drill bit
-3/8 16 NC tap
-saw
-drill
-2 larger washers

thought maybe someone would like to give it a go when bored or save a few bucks on a axle kit.

thanks for the info

thanks for sharing, well done, i would do this if i hadn't just bought one 2 months ago for $29.95

i shaved the outside plastic adjuster to the thickness of a washer, and then put a large washer over it. the adjusters have a slotted groove in them to hold the axle centered in the rails. figured it best to leave one on the outside as well as the one on the inside of the rails...
