How to identify different CFI crankcases?

So, I have a motor that was sold to me as a 600CFI crankcase/crank, but when I slapped the 600 jugs and pistons on it, the piston sticks out about 3mm. I think it is a 700CFI crank and case. Any way to identify them based off the numbers on the case?

The 700 CFI motor has a 68mm stroke, so just do a quick measurement. If you put 600 jugs on that bottom end, what you're seeing would be just about right.
