S SpencerA Member Dec 29, 2015 #2 Ended up using my Koltz chain case oil which had a spout. Then used 1/4 tube to reach. My question is the manual calls for a different oil to use. Is it bad to use chain case oil? Koltz is a lot thicker then what came out.

V volcano buster Well-known member Dec 29, 2015 #3 Try it. I can't imagine it hurting anything if the ambient temps are ok. If it got very cold it might take a little extra oomph to get it warmed up.
