start suckin!!!!!! lol....
ive seen a guy use a mag drive pump, but that just sounds sketchy!!!!!!!!
tip it over to get as much as you can out, then use a hand pump to get the rest out, i used one that they use on boats to prime the engine.....no idea what there called. so im gonna stick with hand pump!!!!
Wally World sells a siphon with a little bulb built in so you don't have to use your mouth to get the flow going. Its a small diameter tube, so it is a little slow, but it works well. I use mine for all kindsa stuff, and they only cost like $4 or something.
Apparently there are way too many guys around here that like sucking on hose. Why in the world are you guys doing it that way? This is a M sled. Home of the worlds largest gas cap.
Take a piece of long hose and submerse the entire length in the gas all the way to the bottom and after it is all in there take you thumb and cover one end while you pull it out. Have a gas can or other jug placed lower than the bottom of the tank and point the hose into the opening and release your thumb. The gas will come out of there until there is little left in the tank. You might get gas on your hand but I would still say thats better then a mouth full or having to say you know how to suck a hose.
use the tube. you dont have to suck it out by your mouth but you can use the vaccum to suck it out, when the gas come out, place the tube in the bucket, let it do the work. priceless.
Here is a siphon tip for those who don't want to be hose suckers.
Take a length of hose, we use 1/2 to 3/4 inch hose, that will get to the bottom of the tank and create a good arch to keep the flow. Drill a hole about 3-4 inches from the output end just large enough for the tip of your blowgun to fit into. When you blow air into that hole direct the stream towards the output end and it will draw the gas up the other end, once you get flow gravity will do the rest.. We keep ours on the shop wall. The bigger the hose the faster you can empty your tank.
To the op....just siphon it out, but you don't want to drain all the gas out of a M sled. The fuel pump is in the tank and should stay immersed so it doesn't dry out. Leave a couple gal in it and Stabil what;s left and run it thru the sled so there;s stabilized fuel theoughout the system.
