Mountainhorse note: I thought I would copy it here for those that dont hang out in the 900 Section too much nor use the "Browse all" feature. Great post BD!!
I thought i would post up some pics of what i did to our fuel lines on our 900's so we didn't have to use the special tool to release our fuel lines that was a pain in the butt.
the clips i used are gm fuel line clips. 1- 3/8" gm #15638097 and 2- 5/16 gm #15638098. you can get these at any parts store i just had the gm numbers
first thing to do is remove your fuel lines then look in the fitting you will see a metal retainer clip that is released when you insert the special tool. you need to carefully remove this with a small screw driver or o-ring pick. do this on each one you want to install the plastic quick release clips. then you can either put the clips on the male portion or female part. then just push the line on and listen for it to lock on pull on line to make sure it is secure. then to remove line all you have to do is squeeze the plastic clip. here are some pics of the clips
the 2 fuel pump outlets are 5/16 and the fuel filter outlet is the 3/8
