How to clean exhaust valves

So getting to the 1000 mile mark and want to clean the power/exhaust valves. Anyone have any advice. I searched on hear and understand I need to pull steering post. Then careful as things might fly?

No guarantee that you will not need a relearn afterwards. I have not yet but that is me.

Nothing really to fly, there is 2 springs on each valve holding the second guillotine. The spring really stay put but the guillotine may fall.

I only removed the lower block so that I could pull the post over enough to slide the valve assembly out. I myself disconnected the cable from the motor so you could manually pull the valves up giving you room to remove it out.

No need to remove steering post, just the lower steering post clamp. Then the valves can be taken out.
