how to check fual pump amps

I have a 12 pro rmk800 I think the pump might pulling to much amps, how do most of you guys check how many amp the pump is pulling thanks

unplug your wires to the pump, install a jumper to connect the ground, then with the leads of your multimeter, install the read lead into the sled side of the plug and the black side to the pump, probably will need 2 guys, and start the sled. the multimeter is now the jumper for the power side, what your meter reads is live amp draw

Use the fuel pump prime plug. Put power and ground to it and put your amp meter in series on either side. Eric
