How should the inside of Pipe / Y-pipe look?

last night I pulled my pipe and y-pipe off to check things out. The inside of the y-pipe and pipe are a light tan brown color, and the wet line is only maybe an inch into the y-pipe. The pistons/cylinders, plugs and wash look good. What should the inside look like? Is it running too lean? (Sorry I did not take pictures)

When i run Sunoco , my whole pipe is white on the inside. It kind of freaked me out a bit the first time i looked at it . If your wash looks good , your good to go. I was told the 8's run a bit on the lean side . A buddy of mine has a TM7 and the end of his pipe is white all of the time too , he runs straight Sunoco Supreme also.

Turbos will typically look like this. I like to see a 1-2" wet line on turbo and 3-4" on a naturally aspirated sled. You should be OK.
