how often do you change plugs on Apex stock 162...

have a stock apex and it has 5700 clicks...mostly boondocking on it..and now seem to lose 1 or 2 plugs when run hard..i thought we didnt have to change plugs..lol..but would just like to know so the dealer does not screw me...i had my key ignition changed.it was rusty..would not start...and wondering if there is something else more than just the plugs..the machine is a 2006 ..and the warrenty is over this year..thanks guys.. dont forget..its a stock...so the throttle is always open..

Do you let it warm up before you ride? Shouldn't be fouling plugs.

Mine fouled the plugs, but I think it was a combination of Stabil in the fuel and not letting it warm up enough when running it during the summer months. Not the easiest job to change them, but do-able, even for a hack like me.

The only time I ever fouled them is when i got a bunch of oil in the air box.

You can also foul them if you fire up your machine and shut it off before it gets up to operating temperature. This usually happens when your buddies say " Start that thing up I wanna hear it!"

Yup most times it will straitin right out burn it off but another time it didnt.
