A friend of mine has a agressive chassis.........i think? xcr 700 triple. its in my garage and hes wants me to change the track for him. I was looking at it and i was like you want a handlebar riser? and i asked about his carbides because i didnt want to scratch up my floor and hes like what are carbides? so i check them and they are just worn out rods.

so im adding carbides and a riser and changing the track, hes going to help a bit but what would you charge?

i would normally do it for free, i helped my brother inlaw rebuild his 1000 motor and fix his sled when he rolled it. so i dont know he said he will pay me but what should i expect? would you charge a friend for changing a track? like its a whole day thats $300 at work

yah im probaly going to charge him nothing but, how long do you do stuff for free? if your constantly fixing others things for others think you should charge? i guess if i made it a busness i would charge.

I do house plans too and ive done them for free for my borther in law, they wernt full, just basic plans so he could build it himslef and i measured up his basment and plumbing and did a basement plan for him.

My full plans cost $800-$1200 to strangers, i guess if my friends send non friends to me to fix stuff ill charge them.

For my friends, labor is free because I know eventually, I will probably need to call one of them to give me a hand on something.

Okay I lied, I usually ask them to bring a case of beer or a bottle of whiskey. So that would be my price... whatever a fifth of JD or Pendleton costs.

He needs to learn... have him come over with a case of beer, you get out the tools and a lawn chair. Tell him what to do and lend a hand when needed, drink the beer and teach him how to turn a wrench. He will appreciate it much more! When he's done, hop on and take it for a rip to test it out (as long as you didn't drink all of the beer:))
