How much weight will the XP gain for next season?

Fordy , when you buy an XP for next season if you don't get the e start option it will weigh the same. You can get gravey to start it for you.

Probably just a couple and that would be the driveshaft. Everything else is fine just the way it is.

I think the rear section of the tunnel might get a little something.

....have you had any problems with your tunnel? Mine seems to be holding up quite well, and I am 225 out of the shower, so figure 250 with gear. Have you bent any part of your tunnel on your xp? Or rails on your xp?

A 2 lb tow hitch for when riding with Cats ?? :beer;

It sucks that you really can't use an XP to tow out another sled in the back country.... On the trails it might be OK if you're gentle. I thought the M7was fragile until the XP

I've seen a few rear tunnel sections get tweaked on fairly minor riding.

The price you pay for saving weight I guess.

Funny, I saw an XP cartwheel (end over end) down a steep hill and was fine. Riden with M7's that have done same, no noticable damage other then windshield. Of course the deep snow helped.

Trees, rocks, stumps......any sled will get hurt.

got over a 1000 miles on each of our xp's and have no problems and we ride pretty hard and spend a lot of time jumping--nothing to extreme but we dont baby our sleds

Probably wont add much weight-ski doo does not care. But I agree they need to add some weight. Build it light then build it right! tunnel is really weak bending tunnel around the rear of the suspension mount, if you can call it that

Why is it that some people have had zero problems..... and others have had nothing but problems? I know a guy that is still riding on the original belt at 600 miles and some that blow a belt every ride. Tunnel bending...driveshaft breaking...motor grenading...etc.....some are perfect and some are garbage...WTF?

If nothing else, The XP has stopped all the threads that used to be so abundant here about how the Manufacturers need to shave weight off their overbuilt heavy tanks.

Now,I think some of the same people are complaining that Doo has built too light a sled and they should bulk up that lightweight whimp.

You Just can't please some people!

(No, I don't own an XP)

It can't be all dealership set up can it?
Personally, I have never seen one either on the hill or on the trail broke down or being towed out.

Everyone who was riding an XP that I have ever talked to while out riding has said how much they love their sled and it has never given them any problems.
When I mention all the issues that I read about here on the 4M's they just give me a strange puzzled look.

....can you post some pics of your sled doing this? I haven't had a problem, but would like to see one that is....

Ask that question more often and see how many so pics you get. I bet it won't be many. Anyone can post anything. I know there are problems with all sleds but......... 4ums, you gotta love
them.

Oh yeah, no additional weight. The 09 Mtn. sleds will just get refinements this next year. All the new iron will go to the flatlanders and you have already seen most of it.
