How much Oil in the fuel?

I have adjusted my Oil pump on my two Pro's, by turning up the adj. screw approx. 3 turns, and I want to add oil in my fuel as well, as so many riders have recommended. I just can't remember the ratio of oil to gallon of fuel that was recommended, is it 1/2 oz or 1 oz of oil for every gallon of fuel? I did a search but could not find the correct postings.

I add gas from my electric pump on my trailer. Would you premix oil/gas in a jug first or could you add some oil and pump some gas multiple times?

i was told .5 oz per gallon on a stocker, 1 oz per gallon on a mod or turbo. i just add oil to my tank and shake the sled around a bit. they say its better to add oil to the 5 gallon jugs of fuel and then poor into the sled tank.

I have about 850 miles on my 12 pro. I have been putting in 1oz per gallon for about the last 400 miles..have been using the blue semi syn. oil for the tank as I had heard the fully syn. oil will seperate if it sits for a bit.

Pre-mix

I have read somewhere, that if you are adding extra oil to the gas for extra lubrication, the ratio should be 150:1

I add anywhere from 3/4 oz to 1 oz per gallon. Not enough to lean out your machine anywhere near a level that should be of concern, at least not in my opinion. I have heard of and seen ring damage from not adding oil, yet to hear of anybody burning one up from running oil.

Thanks guys, I guess the answer is anywhere from a half oz to 1 oz per gallon, which is good because you can't really get it wrong. I plan to use some Amsoil intercepter oil that I still have that I used in other sleds, that will remain nameless. My Pro's looked like they were almost full of VES Gold when I bought them and did not want to put the Amsoil into that and have a problem later because of it.
