How much oil does your Mountain Cat use?

I ran low on APV oil this weekend, first time it has happened so far. Unfortunately no one was clocking miles so I really dont know how far we went. Best estimate is around 50-60 miles or less. Still had about half tank of fuel. The oil tank was close to full when we started. Normally the oil level is fairly consistent with fuel level, so I'm wondering if something caused the overuse of the oil on this trip? Would idling for long periods use oil faster than the gas? Also, my wife "crashed" (fell off the sled on a steep angle) and it was laying almost on its side for a few minutes, could oil have spilled out? Sled is a 2001 600 EFI.

What are your experiences with oil consumption?

OK, I must be leaking then. My oil tank goes down almost as fast as the gas. This last trip was the fastest its emptied so the leak must have got worse. I'll dig into it and see what I can find.

Have a 2005 EFI king Cat. Have a D&D can & bullseye's on airbox. That's it except for bling. Since tank #1...that sled doesn't use much oil. It took me about 5 tanks to finally be comfortable w/ the fact the injector pump was, indeed, working properly & THEN I quit adding oil to fuel.

I have measured the oil added per 10 gallons fuel. It is 22 oz total. My M-7 uses 28 oz per same fuel burned-go figure that one out:face-icon-small-sho!!!
