Looking to do a trade of my Turbo Apex for a 2002 CRF 450 that has a 2012 Timbersled kit on it. It is in ok condition with scratches and dings and hours are unknown. It supposedly runs great though. What would something like that sell for? What should I look at when inspecting the thing? How about compression check? Thanks for any help.

I would say it's a good trade but you are going to have to open the bike up and at least do a top end and inspect everything to be safe in my opinion. .. around here a turbo apex is a hard sale...
If I remember correctly didn't those early Hondas have a lot of valve/valetrain issues?

Closer to 5k imo.
Bike with unknown hours and well used is a $2k bike and a 2012 kit is worth about $3k.
This assuming it all works well as is.
If the kit has been successively upgraded and is comparable to a '14 kit then add another $500-1000 to the price if it's in cherry shape.
He says new valves on the bike and bearings on the kit 4 rides ago. It's also an 03 not 02 as I have listed. Thanks again for all the help. We are going to do the trade.
I think that's a pretty fair trade both ways. It may be off $500 one way or the other but who really cares. Talk about polar opposites tapex to snowbike.
