How many miles?

I'm curious to see how many miles you guys and gals have on your sleds. I have a 95 XLT with 7,200 miles and a 2000 RMK with just under 5,700 miles. What's considered high miles????

THX

i've got 3,750 miles on my 07 M8 and still climbing:) how many kilometers is that? high miles, well i guess that depends on who you talk to, i know many peeps who are lucky if they ride 500 miles a season! i get that many in the first month...

I broke the speedo on my "wifes" sled at 5800 miles.....them are mostly easy miles. my sled has 3700 stuck on the bar miles, half of them going straight up. in that time I have been through a few sets of hifaxs, one belt (god bless the 8dn) several springs on my pipes, had to weld one of my pipes that broke, and made a few clutching adjustments............I consider that pull and go.

05 RMK 700 with about 9525 miles. ( how many KM is that? ) Not exact, pull the the hood at times for spring riding. How you maintain it is far more important than "how many miles" are on it. A 10,000 mile sled that has been kept up well is probably better than a 5,000 mile sled that has never been touched by a wrench IMHO.

'04 RMK 800 159 = 3,500 miles
'99 RMK 700 136 = 6,000 + miles

I talked to a guy in Montana once that rented sled and bought most of his "used" from the W. Yellowstone rental outfits. He claimed even a rental sled was good for 10,000 miles before even needing an engine top end job.

I asked a long time Polaris dealer about this and he agreed. His theory, sleds don't operate in dirty, dusty conditions, so there is not much wear on the pistons, cylinders and rings.

03 700 rmk, pulled speedo with 5400 miles 2 years ago. guessing around 8000 miles

had to rebuild with new crank end of last year

06 M7 with just under 4000 hard miles. 2 belts, couple sets of plugs, carbides, and sliders is all thats been replaced. Its been a pull and go sled. 2 pull starts everytime, unless the kill switch is down.

02 800 RMK with 4124 miles, 03 800 RMK with 1922 miles (wifes sled) and 08 800 Dragon with 1196 miles.

Depends on how much powe you want from them too. I can feel a substantial difference in identical sleds, one with 500 miles on it, one with 1500. I have to wonder what kind of compression is left in a 3000 mile and up sled. Sure they run but do they run like they could?

I've been running a UBR 900 Polaris VE. Yesterday I hit the 8,700 mile mark. It's been a great sled but the only way to hit 8,700 miles is through meticulous maintenance. I define high mileage when the chassis is hammered. I guess you can maintain a chassis through meticulous maintenance also.

Have over 10k on my '04 Pro-X2 700, 2600 on my '08 600RMK 144" so far. Had over 13k on my '04 600VE that I sold last fall and it is still running strong. Before price of fuel skyrocketed I used to put on at least 8k/winter, 11k was common, but past couple seasons have tapered off to about 5k/winter.

I think it depends on the terrain, 3,000 miles on a sled used for mtn ridding will look rough. I have a 2000 700 summit with a 151" and 4600 miles mainly used for trails and ski resort work that looks great. I also have a 2004 REV that would be tough to sell with only 3100 miles. Spring and fall rides can be brutal on sleds even with great up keep the chassis start getting weak or tweaked a bit.
