how many miles on the ol girl?

so new sleds dont seem to last as long as the old ones. i just sold a 97 rmk 600 and never looked until people started asking" how many miles" so i look and wow 8200 miles on it. i bought years ago a yamaha that has 6000 and i rode that for 3 years and no motor work. so it made me think lets see how many miles you got on your ol girl?

on my gen 2 when i sold it has 6800 miles on it with out the motor being opened up, still had good compression.

I got about 5,600 on my '96 ultra, 1,100ish on my '79 TX-L, not quite 3,000 on my '02 rmk, 3,875 on the '98 700 rmk,And 7,500ish on my '03 700 rmk. All but the '02 runs (take a guess why...give you a hint 800cc's) I bought the '03 with 7,000 miles on it at a great price dealer took it on trade, some how missing reading the odometer on it..and Could not find anyone who would even touch it after reading the ODO,so I picked it up for a grand! Damn that old girl is in good shape to (it was a daily driver when it lived in alaska and garage kept, I discovered after running into the old owner on a sled trip, He also said it had a new motor in it at 6,500):face-icon-small-hap So I guess sometimes not being afraid to go for an old girl with a few miles can pay off!

My 98 rmk 700 had 13250 miles on the original motor when it cratered last year. when I tore it down I noticed that the main oil pump line had wore through. I am sure if not for that I would have got at least another season out iof that machine.
