How many guys dont ride with huge risers?

I'm 6'11" and have a 2 in. riser on the factory 8 in. one on my xrs, the same will go on the 09 x.

huge riser

i have a huge riser every time i go riding. 100% adrenaline....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I rode all last year with the stock height on my '02 and it wasn't too bad (Which is MUCH shorter than stock height of the new machines) This year I decided to go with a 3" dual pivot riser and rocked the bars forward a bit to improve the stand up ergonomics, so I got about 2" of rise and 1" of tilt... feels perfect now:)

I'm 6'4", and I have a 3" riser on my 900 ...

I guess for "all around" riding it's about as good as it gets. Any taller and I can't really sit down on the sled and ride, any shorter and I can't stand up and ride at all.

I guess really I'd like a varying riser from stock to +8" ...

I'd like to see somone fab something like that up :)

i'm 6' and i have a 6" riser on my sled, perfect for my height to get optimal leverage and comfort

3" handlebar riser...........seems to be a good happy medium for most conditions for me.

Short guys and Tall guys?

Have any of you guys noticed that people's hands are generally at the same height? I know there are exceptions but, taller guys generally have longer arms than shorter guys, therfore their hands reach further down. I know this sounds kinda stupid, but stand next to a guy who is not your height. Your hands will most likely hang pretty close to the same height. So the bar riser shouldn't matter if you are tall or short. Just the most comfortable riding position. The distance from the bottom of your feet,to the comfy bar height is pretty close, no matter how tall you are. I would like to hear the tall guys opinion on this one. I know somone will disagree. I work for a Yacht manufacturer in Seattle, we always seem to agree on handrail height, no matter how tall the people are. -00's

i took off my stock straight 6" riser and put on a Monster adjustable 8", i love being able to adjust it for trail or powder and it only takes a few seconds to do. has never slipped either, even when i'm bouncing myself off of the bars :o

04 REV-X just put a 3" on top of the stock 6" and a new AXESS flat top seat with 2" rise. Can't doo one without the other.

Huh.... Interesting.

I am 5ft 9inches and have ridden stock height since I started snowmobiling.
Exception would be I replaced my bars on my F-7 with 1inch taller bars.
I am going to try a 2inch riser on my m1000 this year.

I'm 6'2" and have found an inch or two over factory height is just right on my Polaris VE anyway. I feel that some carry the leverage thing a little to far and end up with bar height that is higher than practical. If you're ever sitting on the sidelines at a RMSHA Hillclimb take a look at how the fast, talented riders have their bars set. You don't see many sky high risers.

when you pull something are your hands buy your side? when you push something? control something in general.

yes hands hanging might be the same but for a short rider there hands arn't hanging when they ride they are bent at a forearms flat position 90' at the elbow as an example, so i shouldn't have to reach down for the same bars i want them higher where i have good control.
im saying look at elbow height maybe more then hangs hanging height.

hockey sticks, golf clubs, mountain bikes come in different sizes it doesn't really make sense to make a sled that comes in S,M or L so we have to make other ajusments

just my oppion
