How many amps draw can the stator handle?

I know guys run gps's and heated gear and stuff back east for trail riding, but does anyone know what you are safe up to as far as accessories being drawn off of the stator? Seems like the mechanical reverse solenoid would draw at least a couple amps by itself huh? Anyone have any electrical specs?

2007-2010 Ms have a 270W alternator

Amps = Watts / Volts

We know the Watts, and we know the voltage, therefore -

270W / 14V = 19.3A

Don't throw GPS under the bus as a flatlander only riding thing, it's much more beneficial for mountain riding to find your way out when it's getting dark with zero visibility heavy snowfall.

It's easy to get turned around in your head with no sense of direction when there's no sun for reference. Mountain example A in Arctic Cat purple of course. :beer;

I'm not throwing anything under any bus. It was an example, only to relay what I am looking for. Ok, now my next question is out of the available amps, how many are used by the system and how many are left available to us? Anyone?

I am looking for it to be able to handle a 4 amps draw whenever the sled is running with no issues anywhere else in the electrical system. What do you think? Thanks.

This is a good question. Every time I ask I get a different answer. I want to know if a guy can run a hi-flow fuel pump (for a turbo), headlights, stock gauge, A/F gauge, and an EGT gauge. Some say yes, some say no. I am guessing it would be very marginal. Any opinions?

stator ?

on my m7 it would power all the things needed for new boondocker turbo kit off idle but would shut ebc off if it wold idle lower than 2000 rpms so i sent my stator to stator corp in mass. and works great now and only charged $150 to rewind all posts and extra turn off wire on each one bt that is the 7s not 8s or 1000s that i could not tell you
