How loud are the sidepipe sleds??

I am reworking my sled this summer and wanting to do a midmount setup, my question is just how loud are the side dump exhausts to the rider vs the other people, I dont worry to much about the other people, just woried about going deaf If I dont wear ear plugs every ride, I currently have a tunnel dump on the side and its not totally sealed, so its pretty loud, with a helmet and balaclava its not to loud, helmet alone is kinda anoying after a long day, just curious for those who have them or are around them.:face-icon-small-con

There loud, real loud and always loud. Why would you want one? Burn your pants, Blow your ear drums out and everyone around you. I got a 3'' dump on mine into the tunnel and at least the most part when your in any fresh snow at all its not bad .

I've heard the same...it is crazy loud and will most likely give you a headache while pissing off your riding buddies.

good to hear, looks like a little 90 into the tunnel is in order then. I like the tunnel dump, in any deep snow its rather quite the way mine is facing, until you wheelie at people, then its sorta loud.

the best way to do this is to get a rx1 partial impulse conversion kit header and down pipe it should work out great and easy for you

I dont buy stuff. I build it. and the way the motor sits in mine is quite a bit differnt then the stock location, enough so that I would have to hack up the header or the stock ski-doo pyramid frame, which is what gives it most of its strength, so I am just gonna build a new custom one... I was working on it this afternoon getting it mocked up. I like how its gonna sit!
