The question is not weather we would stay and pay, but rather would we have joined to begin with if we had to pay.

I'm sure most of us would not have payed to join and would never know about this great site.

If no new members join the site is going to shrink and another site will take its place. Its suicide. I am dismayed by the lack of business sense in this decision.

I want to say something to all the orignals, remember when all the sh!tdisturbing got unbearable, and MANY of us lamented, gee Make this a pay site to doo away with and weed out the trash .......... well the day has come, and alot of you are going ballistic. I'm just saying .................

I'm with Oberti when we used to hang on trailconditions.com '97 or earlier, been here since they turned it on. I'll pay the $10., the information here is certainley worth that, just have to get good at sifting it out.

what has changed? The only thing I notice is the sub-forums, but apparently it is going to be corrected soon... Besides that, I notice no change. All the foo foo stuff can be turned off so you don't see it.

I have been here since 99..

I dont post much as I am a flatlander from Canada. I have been addicted to this site from the time I joined. I have cried and laughed my @$$ off.

I donated to help by a sled for a sick little boy, cried when animal and many others left us.

I have never had the privilege of meeting any of the people that I have gotten to know on this incredible meeting place.

I am on the fence but am leaning toward not staying... I will miss it and miss the friends I have never met.

I hope all works out for Snowest... but I am having trouble with the concept. Its not about the members that are here now.. its about GROWING A BUSINESS why buy the cow when I can get the milk for free. I dont believe the business will grow when the competitions forums are free.

I digress .. Here's to all of you and to you snowest for creating a place where a bunch of like minded folks can get together and make a differece in each others lives!!

I paid..but I have to qualify that with "paid due to friends who didnt want to leave"..couple days later they all did a mass exodise from here......I have helped quite a few peeps here..loved helping them...but I closed the shop door at this branch ..only have the main shop working now...(and its out in the country where theres fresh air and greener grass.)..........been here a short time (since dec of 07)..but have left a mark...a to the passing of greatness........RIP

I guess i've only been around for a little over a year... but SnoWest was truely AWESOME!!! Definently been a huge change lately though... I read all the previous posts here and wonder what happened to everyone willing to pay... but haven't? Even in my short time... I agree about the principle, but I looked at other sites and the "western" presence or wealth of knowledge wasnt there. I "sold" my dignity to stay... sure hope it pays off and all you great peeps that left come back?...

Almost 10 years

I guess i have been around for almost 10 years, started back in '99. Was using a different name back then, dont even remember that user name, got mad at my computer and shut it off for some time. Got back on, my current user name, and havent looked back. Seems like i use it more and more each year. I already signed up for 3 more years. it is up to all of us to make this site what we want.
