How long are your reeds lasting & what kind is best on the pro

I only put 650 miles on last year but the reeds still look new. I have not heard of pro's eating reeds

X2^^^. Shane Hart at HM Turbos has thousands of miles on his turbo Pros all running the original stock reeds.

I heard that the v-force are cracking. this was last season so not sure if the problem was fixed for this season. I know 3 guys that tried them and they all cracked. went back to stock and never had any issues.

The stock reeds seem to be the only ones that are holding up under boost. I personally blew up a set of Boyesons, and have a buddy that did as well. I've got a couple thousand on a set of stockers now, that are in decent shape. Gonna replace them just because I'm going through the motor and I might as well.

600miles non-boosted, + 900 boosted on the stock reeds. just pulled them and they look brand new. for what its worth.

I had to replace at 1000 miles. First 100 no boost. Stock is suppose to be best, but sucks you have to buy the cage and all...13lbs all year too.

About 300 miles boosted and took out a top end. When I got in to her the stock reads were very chipped up. Went back together with some carbon tech turbo reeds. Going through the sled this summer I found the bottom row was fairly chipped already. Only one of the 7 petals on the bottom row that were chipped was chipped far enough back to allow air through. Got the reeds replaced, fixed some boost leaks and going to give them another try. They lasted about as long as the stock ones so we'll see.

This was running 8 lbs at sea level for the most part. There was some experimenting in there at 10 lbs and 12 for a few minutes but mostly just 8.
