How is the snow in McCall?

I'm planning a trip to ride out of McCall on New Years and I am wondering how the snow is right now? Being from Washington, I don't know what it is normally like that time of year. Let me know if it is even worth going. Thanks.

Above 6,500 feet it has been ride-able with caution advised. Looks like we are going to receive a good bit of snow in the next 10 days with several storms forecast.

i measured 43" about a week ago at 6800 ft. above brundage reservoir and it wasnt bad at all. there is alot if land mines still out so be careful but there was enough to have fun.

Any one looking for someone to ride with around new years? All my friends seam to have gf or kids and are tied up. Im flexible on dates. Oh and have a empty spot on deck if someone from the lc valley wants to go and has no one to ride with also

We'll be up there quite a bit around New years. You can definitely tag along with us. I'll try to give you a days notice. But if you go let me know, at least I can make it up any time.

Try America's Best Value Inn & Suites in McCall. Nothing special but the rooms are reasonable and always very clean, customer service is great, good parking for your rig and a decent continental breakfast

Rode 6 of the last 8 days, up high there is enough snow to have some fun in the trees but caution is advised.

We really need a couple of good storms to get the season going.

Any news on the Snow condition? I am planning a trip next weekend to McCall...Is it worth the four hour and a half hour drive?(we got nothing where I am at...) I would also like to possibly hook up with some other riders out that way as I have never been over that way before...

We were there this weekend. There are a LOT of landmines and you really have to be careful everywhere. One bent ski bolt is all, but we were super careful! We are thinking about not riding till there's more snow as it's just not worth tearing up our sleds. If they get new snow as is (today) forecasted, it'll probably be pretty good.

It was BITTER cold this weekend too.
